Quick answers
Custom villagers provide server-managed buy and sell offers; read the exact item, quantity, currency and direction of the trade before confirming.
Some offers rotate, reach limits or are rebalanced, so an older screenshot or remembered price should not be treated as the current trade.
Use the protected menu, confirm whether the villager is buying from you or selling to you, and verify the exact required material before clicking through.

Detailed guide
Read the long-form sections for rules, progression strategy, practical examples, troubleshooting context and the detail behind the quick interactive reference.
Custom Villagers provide server-managed buy and sell offers for builders, fighters, collectors and resource farms. Each trader has a defined purpose.
Some traders rotate stock, apply purchase limits or combine Grist and token costs.
Specialist traders are easier to use when you think in terms of purpose rather than memorising every offer. Some create Grist by buying resources, some remove Grist through convenience/progression sales, and some provide high-value token sinks.
This separation lets balance changes target one part of the economy without rewriting every other trade.
Rotating stock is intended to stop one route from becoming the permanent answer to every economy decision. A good economy setup remains useful even when one trader changes.
